Well I can’t believe it is February already!
What a great week we’ve had in year 3! The time has flown we have been having so much fun! We have been continuing our topic on Ancient Egypt…some of us are like experts on the topic now! We have been doing some super work on the ‘weighing of the heart’ ceremony (it’s pretty gruesome!) and our Big Write this week was a diary entry of ‘day in the life’ of an Ancient Egyptian. We had tomb robbers, Pharaohs, Egyptian ladies all writing about what life was like for them. I can’t wait to read them all over the weekend.
Our writer of the week this week is Bailey. He has been making a super effort in his writing and really concentrating on forming all of his letters correctly. I think a lot of us are really working towards getting a pen pass! I wonder if anyone will get one?
Our stars of the week this week are Saffron and Ibrahim. Saffron has been an absolute star this week; she is as helpful and as kind as can be and I am really proud to have her in our class. Ibrahim is now in his second week as ‘star of the week’; something that has never happened in our class but his attitude and behaviour is just amazing. He is truly trying so hard with his work, being polite and always showing 5. I am incredibly proud of how much Ibrahim has grown up and I am beginning to see his brilliant attitude pay off in his work. Keep it up guys! 🙂
Next week is our Arts and Maths week, we have some really exciting work on time coming up.
Have a relaxing and happy weekend.
Miss Nicholson 🙂
