Friday 23rd November

I can’t believe it’s that time of the week again! Time flies when you’re working hard, doesn’t it?

This week we have done some fantastic work. As ever, I am immensely proud of all the children in 3CN. On Monday we produced some wonderful pastel drawings of autumn leaves; Aidan’s leaf was superb, he had taken time and lots of care in his shading, showing real artistic skill. This week we began our Geography topic on our ‘local area’, finding where Leeds is in the United Kingdom. Ciaran produced some great map work- well done!

Our big write today was fantastic- I was over the moon reading some of our writing at the end of the lesson this morning. We looked at the beginning of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and then described the setting of the chocolate factory. Carla’s writing was simply brilliant, I was so impressed! She had almost given Roald Dahl a run for his money! Saffron wrote a fantastic description, really capturing the different senses; what she could see, hear and smell. Great stuff!

This week has been part of ‘Switch off Fortnight’; Bailey and Thomas are our monitors, doing a great job of ‘reminding’ me when I forget to turn lights…or occassionally….very occassionally the whiteboard!

Thomas and Trinity are our stars of the week. I have been massively proud of their attitudes in school this week and how hard they have tried with their work. Keep it up.

Have a lovely weekend.

Miss N 🙂
