Friday 26th April

What a good week we have had in year 3! We had a fantastic start to the week with our new class member, Ream, joining us. The girls were so excited to have a growth in number as our class has until recently been boy heavy! Now we have had Ream and Delaney join us our girls have plenty to natter about on the playground! 🙂 It just so happens that Ream has been a fantastic addition to year 3. She is very sensible and kind and I am glad she has joined us.

We have been doing some brilliant maths work this week on using our number bonds to help us add lots of numbers all together. I was really impressed by Cairan and Peter. They could both look for bonds within a number sentences and help them add 3 or even 4 numbers really quickly.

Our big write this week was about the legend of George and the Dragon. We all got super creative and had great fun making our own gruesome versions of the story. I think I will need to sleep with the light on tonight after reading them all! I was incredibly impressed with Liam’s big write. He used some amazing and really ambitious vocabulary which really helped to add suspense and scare me! Well done Liam. Isha and Carmen’s writing has really been impressing me recently too.

Our stars this week are Thomas, Cairan and Noor. We have never had 3 stars of the week but this week it was impossible to choose! Their hard work and great attitude has made me really proud of them this week.

Have a great weekend. Fingers crossed the sun stays out!
